Starting the calibration procedure
Use this procedure to start the Axis Calibration routine on the FlexPendant.

6.4.4 Axis Calibration - Running the calibration procedure
Action
Tap OK.
The fine calibration process is complete.
Action
On the start screen, tap Calibrate.
Select Calibration from the menu.
The Mechanical Units page displays a list of
available mechanical units.
Note
This step is required only if you are not already in
the Mechanical Unit page when you open Calib-
rate.
Note
The Mechanical Unit page is displayed only if
there are more than one mechanical unit available.
Otherwise, the calibration summary page for the
available mechanical unit is displayed.
Select the unit that needs to be calibrated from
the Mechanical Unit list.
The calibration summary page for the selected
mechanical unit is displayed.
Calibration method used at factory for each axis
is shown, as well as calibration method used dur-
ing last field calibration.
Tap Calibration Methods on the right pane.
The calibration options are displayed.
Tap Calibration.
The software will automatically call for the proced-
ure for the valid calibration method.
A dialog box is displayed querying whether to
continue executing the routine:
• Tap Yes to proceed.
• Tap No to cancel.
Tap Yes.
The calibration process runs.
Follow the instructions given on the FlexPendant.
