and the bearings at the rear
attachments.
Check for dissonance from
the balancing device (a tap-
ping sound, caused by the
springs inside the cylinder).
Check for dissonance from
the piston rod (squeaking
may indicate worn plain
bearings, internal contamin-
ation or insufficient lubrica-
tion).

Check for damage on the part of the pis-
ton rod that is visible at the front of the
balancing device.

4.3.2 Inspecting the balancing device
Note
The maintenance set contains:
radial sealing with dust lip, 2 pcs
groove ball bearing complete, 2

The maintenance kit contains:

If dissonance is detected, perform maintenance accord-
ing to maintenance kits and instructions in section

Replacing the rear bearings on the

If dissonance is detected, replace the balancing device
or consult ABB Service.
How to replace the device is detailed in section
cing the balancing device on page
specifies the spare part number.
If dissonance is detected, wipe clean the piston rod.
If dissonance continues after the piston rod is cleaned,
perform maintenance according to given instructions in
the maintenance set.
