2-41 JC DIAG A1403 COLL FILTER HOMING FAILURE
Diagnostic for:
140/007 error code (CAN code is 0x5200)
1. Check the cable connections (motor drive cable W501, optical sensor cable W505, motor cable
W507 or W509).
2. Reboot the system. If the error persists, dismount the collimator box to be able to see the Filter
Wheel.
3. If there is no interference within the spectral filter itself reboot the system and check the filter wheel
movement:
a. If the wheel turns in one way and does not change direction before the stop, the cause is linked
to an optical sensor failure or collimator control board problem.
b. If the wheel does not move at all or the gear cannot be released by hand then either the wheel
has failed or there is failure in motor drive cable or control board.
c. If the wheel turns and changes directions for up to seven steps (normally it is three steps) and
stops with motor power off, there is either an optical sensor problem or electrical noise on the col-
limator control board.
In either of these cases above, change the Collimator Set (see
on page
1369).
4. Turn the Filter Wheel manually - if there is mechanical interference the cause of the error is a
mechanical assembly problem. Check whether the Filter Wheel interferes with the tube tilt plate
screw, and if it does then reassemble the spectral filter and tilt plate. If there is interference within the
spectral filter itself or the shutter is broken, change the Filter Wheel (see

2-42 JC DIAG A1404 COLL BLADE AXIS NOT READY
Diagnostic for:
141/001 error code (CAN code is 0xA010)
141/002 error code (CAN code is 0xA010)
141/003 error code (CAN code is 0xA010)
141/004 error code (CAN code is 0xA010)
1. Check the cable connections (motor drive cable W501, optical sensor cable W504, motor cable
W506 or W508).
2. Reboot the system. If the error persists and occurs at system boot, open the collimator cover, and
check the blade position. If the blade is stuck at the inner or outer limit, turn the gear by hand to
release the gear. Reboot the system and check the blade movement:
a. If the blade moves in one way and does not change direction before the stop, the cause is linked
to an optical sensor failure or collimator control board problem.
b. If the blade does not move at all or the gear cannot be released by hand then the collimator box
has failed.
c. If the blade moves and changes directions for up to seven steps (normally it is three steps) and
