force tolerance range. For example, if the force sensor is calibrated in the 0 N to 300 N range, the range
limits are: -150 N and 360 N).
• First, check whether this high force is applied.
If not, recalibrate the force sensor.
• If the calibration succeeds:
- If this error is not reported after a few compression cycles, the problem is corrected.
- If this error is still reported, check for a mechanical jam. If found, change the faulty unit.
- If this error is still reported but there is no mechanical jam, check on the CAN trace to see whether
the compression force changes rapidly. If it does, change the compression force sensor.
- If this error is still reported, change the PL304 paddle detector board.
- If the error is still reported, change the compression board.
• If the calibration does not succeed:
First measure the frequency on pin 3 of the Compression Board connector J10 (the nominal value is
2-20 kHz, with 5 VDC amplitude square waveform).
- If no signal is detected, or the signal is out of these limits, continue with
PRESSION CONTROL FAILURE on page
- If the frequency is present, but does not change when the applied force increases.
- First change the compression force sensor.
- If the frequency still does not change with the applied force, change the PL304 paddle detector
board.
- If the frequency still does not change with the applied force, change the paddle holder unit.
- If the measured signal is good, and changes correctly, but you still cannot calibrate the node,
change the Compression Board.
