PROCEDURE
6-1
Introduction
The Senographe system must be configured in a local network with associated devices, e.g., Review
Workstation, Archive devices, Printers, and/or other Senographe systems. A typical installation is
shown in the diagram below.
For connection to a hospital network, a special study is required. Contact your GE HNS representa-
tive for details.
6-2
Ethernet Connection between AWS and Hospital Network
The ADS Computer should have already been connected to the Hospital Network while performing the
section
6-6,
Network Connections on page 462
Configuration. However, check that the ADS Computer is still connected to the Hospital Network.
6-3
IP Addresses
This section explains how to change the Senographe system Hostname, external IP address, subnet
mask, and other parameters.
Each Senographe system is given a default external IP address during the factory check process. To
avoid conflicts (such as IP packet collision) inside the customer network, the Senographe system exter-
nal IP address must normally be changed at installation time to the recommended address given below.
For the RWS, printers, archiving device, etc., refer to their respective documentation.
