Command Reference Guide
ip rip send version [1 | 2]
Use the ip rip send version command to configure the RIP version the unit sends in all RIP packets
transmitted on the interface.

Default Values
By default, all interfaces transmit RIP version 1 (the default value for the version command).
Applicable Platforms
This command applies to the NetVanta 2000, 3000, 4000, and 5000 and Total Access 900 Series units.

Use the ip rip send version command to specify a RIP version that overrides the version (in the Router
RIP) configuration. Refer to

Usage Examples
The following example configures the Ethernet interface to transmit only RIP version 2 packets:
(config)#interface eth 0/1
(config-eth 0/1)#ip rip send version 2
61200990L1-35E
Transmits only RIP version 1 packets on the interface.
Transmits only RIP version 2 packets on the interface.
