Command Reference Guide
ip address dhcp
Use the ip address dhcp command to use Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) to obtain an
address on the interface. Use the no form of this command to remove a configured IP address (using
DHCP) and disable DHCP operation on the interface.
Syntax Description
No subcommands.
Default Values
No default is necessary for this command.
Applicable Platforms
This command applies to the NetVanta 300, 1000R, 2000, 3000, 4000, and 5000 and Total Access 900
Series units.

Usage Examples
The following example enables DHCP operation on the PPP interface 1:
(config)#interface ppp 1
(config-ppp 1)#ip address dhcp
