Command Reference Guide
ip pim-sparse propagation-delay <time>
Use the ip pim-sparse propagation-delay command to specify protocol-independent multicast (PIM)
sparse join/prune propagation delay. This is the expected propagation delay in milliseconds over the local
link. Use the no form of this command to return to the default value.
Syntax Description
<time>
Default Values
By default, the propagation-delay is set to 500 milliseconds.
Applicable Platforms
This command applies to the NetVanta 5000 and Total Access 900 Series units.

Usage Examples
The following example sets the propagation-delay to 1000 milliseconds:
(config)#interface hdlc 1
(config-hdlc 1)#ip pim-sparse propagation-delay 1000
61200990L1-35E
Specifies the expected propagation delay in milliseconds. Valid range is 0 to
32,767 milliseconds.
