Command Reference Guide
Global Configuration Mode Command Set
ip snmp agent
Use the ip snmp agent command to enable the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) agent.
Syntax Description
No subcommands.
Default Values
By default, the SNMP agent is disabled.
Applicable Platforms
This command applies to the NetVanta 300, 1000, 1000R, 2000, 3000, 4000, and 5000 and
Total Access 900 Series units.

Command was introduced.
Functional Notes
Allows a MIB browser to access standard MIBs within the product. This also allows the product to send
traps to a trap management station.
Usage Examples
The following example enables the IP SNMP agent:
(config)#ip snmp agent
