Tunnel Configuration Command Set
tunnel mode gre
Use the tunnel mode gre command to encapsulate traffic destined for the tunnel interface in a Generic
Routing Encapsulation (GRE) header. Use the no form of this command to set the tunnel to its default
mode.
Syntax Description
No subcommands.
Default Values
By default, the tunnel interface will be configured for GRE mode.
Applicable Platforms
This command applies to the NetVanta 300, 1000R, 2000, 3000, 4000, and 5000 and Total Access 900
Series units.

Command was introduced.
Functional Notes
GRE is currently the only allowed mode for tunnel interface operation.
Usage Examples
The following example configures the tunnel interface for GRE mode:
(config)#interface tunnel 1
(config-tunnel 1)#tunnel mode gre
