message-digest-key md5KeyId md5 [ 0 | 8 ] msgDigestKey
no area { areaId | areaIdInt } virtual-link ipAddress message-digest-key md5KeyId
Command introduced before JunosE Release 7.1.0.
Enables MD5 authentication and configures MD5 keys for virtual links. The no version
deletes MD5 keys.
NOTE: If you delete all the MD5 keys, the authentication type for the virtual
link is still MD5, but you need to configure MD5 keys.
To disable MD5 authentication for the virtual link, use the area virtual-link
authentication-none command.
areaId—OSPF area ID in IP address format
areaIdInt—OSPF area ID as a decimal value in the range 0–4294967295
ipAddress—IP address of the virtual link neighbor
md5KeyId—Key identifier in the range 1–255
0—Indicates the msgDigestKey is entered in unencrypted form (plaintext); this is the
default option
8—Indicates the msgDigestKey is entered in encrypted form (ciphertext)
msgDigestKey—Password to be used by neighbors; string of up to 16 alphanumeric
characters. All neighboring routers on the same network must have the same password.
