4 In the Instance ID field, enter a number between 0 and 16, or 4095. A service mapped to MSTI 4095 is never
blocked by any protocol.

By default, all Ethernet services are mapped to MSTI 0, which represents the CIST (Common Instance Spanning
Tree).
