Defining the IP Protocol Version for Initiating
Communications (CLI)
Select which IP protocol version the unit will use when initiating communications, such as downloading software,
sending traps, pinging, or exporting configurations. The options are IPv4 or IPv6. To do so, enter the following
command in root view:
root> platform management ip set ip-address-family <ipv4|ipv6>
To show the IP protocol version the unit will use when initiating communications, enter the following command in
root view:
root> platform management ip show ip-address-family
