Processing – Color-coded Projection
 standard
Tool accepts Z-stacks and time series (incl. combinations with several other
dimensions). See full description of tool for details.
The Color-coded projection function generates a
maximum intensity projection image along the z-,
or time- dimension of a multidimensional data set
(Fig. 398). Instead of using the colors assigned to
the channels, it displays the position in z or in time
with a color gradient.
• To
open
the
Processing tool, select it from the list in the
Processing main tab.
• Click on the triangle buttons to show or hide
the Method Parameters and Preview panels
of the function.
• Select the color gradient by choosing an
appropiate look up table (LUT) from the LUT
drop down menu.
• You can select from the dimension drop down
menu any dimension of the image. The color
gardient will apply for the selcted dimension.
These include Z (for a Z-Stack) or T (for a time
series).
• Below the color gradients the corresponding
depth or time is indicated in grey numbers and
letters.
• Define the range (ROI) of the Z-Stack or time
series to be used by using the sliders or the
input boxes with arrows.
• Clicking the Apply button creates the color-
coded projection as a new image document
using the name shown in the Output image
display for the Select field.
