• Collimator positions are stored for each combination of wavelength(s) and objective. This allows to
optimize settings for excitation wavelength combinations when working with lasers in the inVIS (UV or
NLO) and VIS range, or for combinations of IR lines (NLO). The settings are mainly influenced by the
chosen objective.
• Collimator settings for NLO lasers are set only for one wavelength when the system is installed. Store
additional values if necessary for other objective / wavelength combinations by clicking Store Current
Pos.
• Stored collimator positions are automatically set when changing wavelengths and/or objectives.

• Click the LSM Continuous action button to
start a continuous scan. Optimize the pinhole
position in X, Y and Z (Z only for PH1) relative to
the PMT using the Position X [µm], Position Y
[µm] and Position Z [µm] sliders to maximum
image brightness (see Fig. 557).
• The collimation for the visible laser lines (VIS
range = 458 to 633 nm) is preset and cannot be
changed.
• You have access to the collimators for the inVIS
lasers = UV (355 nm), 405nm, 440nm and NLO
(multiphoton lasers). Each coupling port is
equipped with a motorized collimating optics.
Select the collimator for the port with the drop
down list next to Name (Fig. 558). The
collimators name is then displayed next to the
drop down list and in the tool tip of the text.
• Moving the Position [mm] slider in the
Collimators panel allows the collimator to be
adjusted
to
maximum
Optimum collimator adjustment obtained in this
way can be stored by clicking the Current Pos
button. The Collimators are pre-set from the
factory and care should be exerted by changing
its position.
