If the stack is large, available memory might be
limited. In this case a Warning is issued,
recommending the usage of the 3D large mode
(Fig. 486). In this case, the stack is subdivided into
individual smaller stacks, which are individually
processed. The result images of the individual
stacks are than automatically combined into one
output image.
If one selects a region of interest (ROI) in the
image, than that ROI will be used for image
processing. This also can help in reducing memory
problems when processing huge stacks.
In the Processing drop down menu one can select
between Automatic and Manual processing
(Fig. 487). If Automatic is selected, pre-set filter
and parameter values will be used.
If Manual is selected these filters and parameters
become accessible to be changed and the Manual
selection field becomes accessible (Fig. 488).
The Automatic mode is recommended for
images with high modulation contrast. In
case the modulation contrast is low one
might benefit from changing the pre-set
values.
In the Channel drop down menu (Fig. 489) All or
single channels can be selected from a multi-
channel image that should be processed. The
Channel drop down menu is not displayed if the
loaded image has only one channel.
Due to the limited number of rotations more
frequencies
and
information can be obtained exactly at the rotation
angles. The directions between the rotational
angles contain lesser frequencies. All available
frequency information will be used if the
Max.Isotrop checkbox is not ticked. This gives rise
to the flower like appearance of the Fourier
transform, which extends wider at the rotational
angles.
