5.4.2 Processing – Airyscan Processing

Airyscan Processing provides the 2D and 3D
processing function for image data acquired with
Airyscan in superresolution (SR) and virtual pinhole
(VP) mode.
The highlighted image or image series in the central
View container is selected upon clicking the Select
button.
For images acquired in SR mode, the processing
strength is per default preset with the Auto function
activated.
For changing the parameter, uncheck the Auto
function and use the slider or editing box to set a new
value (Fig. 393).
2D processing is available for 2D and 3D data sets
(also over time). 3D processing is available for 3D data
sets (Z-Stacks also over time) only.
• To process Airyscan data, choose the Airyscan
Processing function in the method list (Fig. 392).
Auto
• Klick on the open image you want to process and
press Select (Fig. 393) in the method parameters
dialogue. Make sure the right image is visible in
the input window.
• For auto processing, activate the Auto checkbox.
In the preview window you can check again
whether the right image type is selected.
Note that this preview will not show a full SR
processing result.
• Press the Apply button at the top of the dialog.
Processing will start and might take a few minutes.
A new image will open with the result of the auto
processing.
All images in a time series or Z-Stack will be
processed.
