Band Filter
With the band filter (Fig. 407), the original image is filtered
with a "band blocker" filter. It filters out a certain frequency
band with the position set by Center, width set by Band
Width and a steepness of the edges set by Strength. This
is particularly useful to remove periodic perturbances in the
image.
If a dimension should be processed by this tool, the
respective X, Y, Z, and Channels check boxes must be
ticked.
Gradient Filter
The Gradient Filter visualizes the direction and rate of
brightness changes from one pixel to the other. It illustrates
if brightness changes smoothly or abruptly in the image
(Fig. 408).
The gradient filter can be used for all dimensions present in
one dataset. You can select it if you wish to perform it for
all channels with the All button or individual channels with
the according (e.g. Cam1 or Ch1) buttons.
The dimensions can be chosen by checking the according
check-boxes.
