Starting the Maintenance Tool

Before starting the Maintenance Tool, the system hardware must be fully activated.
To do this, open ZEN and check the following settings: Correct entry of all existing lenses; the calibration
objective needs to be entered as APO Calibration LSM.
• Correct entry of all existing lenses; the calibration objective needs to be entered as APO Calibration
LSM.
• For LSM systems with a 405 nm laser, an approximate collimator position should be saved for the
calibration objective.
• The focus plane needs to be approximately correct
• All light sources (Hal, LED's, lasers) need to be activated
• If all these settings are correct, close ZEN and then start the
SystemMaintenance Tool by clicking the desktop icon (Fig. 5).
During the system initialization phase, the SystemMaintenance Tool will
display the boot status (Fig. 6).

• After start, choose Log in... Customer (type-in any name.
