HDR creates an image with a depth of 32-bit and therefore covers a far broader dynamic range than
conventional images (8 to 16 bit).

As a result of the HDR process, the grey scale is independent from the initial bit depth, but covers a range
from 0-1.
Also, the grey stepping is much finer, with much better visibility of weak structures (Fig. 426).
The HDR method employed is also shown in the image info (Fig. 425).
