To generate the maximum intensity projection image either the Front View or the Side View button
can be pressed. In the resulting maximum intensity projection image, each view is handeled as a channel
(e.g. Cam1-V1, Cam1-V2) of the image, a color can be assigned to each channel and it can be turned on
or off in the image control area (Fig. 529).
Be aware, the calculation of the maximum intensity projection of the Front View or Side View
will take some processing time, depending on the size of the used dataset.
It is of no consequence with which of the maximum intensity projections the process is started. In case of
using the Front View button, the maximum intensity projection is calculated along the z-axis and the x,y
axis are displayed in the resulting image (Fig. 530). The Side View button results in a maximum intensity
projection along the x-axis, displaying the z- (horizontal) and y- (vertikal) axis. The maximum intensity
projection image is opend in a new image window, named Filename_MIP.czi. The following steps are
done on the basis of the maximum intensity projection, hence in this image window.
