cable
The encoder cable is improperly wired
or disconnected.
The PG option card or the encoder on
the motor side is damaged.
Cause
Disconnection in the motor coil
winding.
The output terminal screws of the drive
are loose.
Cause
EEPROM peripheral circuit error
Problem with EEPROM data
Cause

fault.
Possible Solution
Properly ground the shielded wire of the encoder
cable.
Check for any wiring errors or disconnected wires
in the encoder cable, and fix any problems.
Replace the PG option card or the encoder if the
problem continues even after all counter-measures
have been taken and the drive re-energized.
Possible Solution
Measure the motor line-to-line resistance and
replace the motor if a coil is disconnected.
Properly tighten the terminals according to the
specified tightening torque.
Possible Solution
• Restart the drive and check if the fault still
remains.
• Replace either the control board or the entire
drive if the fault continues. For instructions on
replacing the control board, contact Yaskawa or
your nearest sales representative.
Reinitialize the drive by setting A1-03 = 2220,
3330 [Initialize Parameters = 2-Wire initialization,
3-Wire initialization], and download the
DriveWorksEZ project to the drive again.
Possible Solution
Check the DriveWorksEZ program and remove the
cause of the fault. This is not a drive fault.
