6.4 Fault
Code
Name
Note:
• Detected if control data was not received for the CE detection time set to H5-09 [CE Detection Time].
• Perform Fault Reset to clear the fault.
• If detected, the drive will operate the motor according to the stop method set in H5-04 [Stopping Method after Com Error].
Code
Name
CF
Control Fault
Note:
• Detected if the torque reference exceeds the torque limit for three seconds or longer while ramping to stop.
• Perform Fault Reset to clear the fault.
Code
Name
CoF
Current Offset Fault
Note:
• Detected if the current offset value exceeds the allowable setting range while the drive automatically adjusts the current offset.
• Perform Fault Reset to clear the fault.
274
Cause
Communication data error occurred due
to noise.
Cause
Motor parameters are set improperly.
The torque limit is too low.
The load inertia is too big.
Ramp to stop is being applied on a
machine that cannot perform ramp to
stop or on a machine for which
deceleration is not necessary.
The motor and drive are not connected
correctly.
Line-to-line resistance tuning has not
been performed.
The Run command was input while the
motor was coasting.
Cause
Drive starts operation while the induced
voltage remains in the motor (during
coasting to a stop or after rapid
deceleration).
A drive hardware problem occurred.

Possible Solution
• Check the control circuit lines, main circuit
lines, and ground wiring, and minimize the
effects of noise.
• Check whether an electromagnetic contactor is
the noise source, and use Surge Protective
Device if necessary.
• Use only recommended cables or other shielded
line. Ground the shield on the controller side or
the drive input power side.
• Separate all communication wiring from drive
power lines, and install a noise filter to the input
side of the power supply for communication.
• Minimize the effects of controller noise.
Possible Solution
Set the motor parameters properly and perform
Auto-Tuning again.
Adjust L7-01 to L7-04 [Torque Limit].
• Adjust C1-02, C1-04, C1-06, and C1-08
[Deceleration Time].
• Set the frequency reference to the minimum
output frequency, and interrupt the Run
command when the drive finishes decelerating.
Set b1-03 [Stopping Method Selection]
appropriately.
Correct any wiring errors.
Perform Stationary Auto-Tuning for Line-to-Line
Resistance.
• Reevaluate the sequence to ensure that the Run
command is input after the motor has come to a
complete stop.
• Set b3-01 = 1 [Speed Search Selection at Start =
Enabled].
Possible Solution
• Specify a sequence in which operation is not
restarted when induced voltage remains in the
motor.
• Set b3-01 = 1 [Speed Search Selection at Start =
Enabled].
• Use External Speed Search commands 1 or 2
[H1-xx = 61, 62] to perform a speed search via
one of the external terminals.
Note:
When controlling the PM motor, External Speed
Search commands 1 and 2 have the same
behavior.
Replace the entire drive.
