25.6.9 Receive Buffer Register

The read-only Receive Buffer Register (RCV_BUF) contains error flags and data from the next location in
the receive buffer. The bit descriptions and settings for the Receive Buffer Register are provided in
Table 25-17.

Frame Error Flag—Indicates whether a frame error was detected during
Bit 9
the reception of the corresponding byte read in the RCV field. The FE flag
cannot create an interrupt. It need not be cleared because it is overwritten
by the next byte received into that location of the FIFO.

Parity Error Flag—Indicates whether a parity error was detected during
Bit 8
the reception of the corresponding byte read in the RCV field. The PE flag
cannot create an interrupt. It need not be cleared because it is overwritten
by the next byte received into that location of the FIFO.
RCV
Receive Buffer—Contains data from the next location in the receive buffer.
