7B1-26 AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION
DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) CHECK USING "O/D OFF" LAMP
STEP
1
Check "O / D OFF" Lamp for Operation.
1) Check that O / D off switch is turned OFF.
(Switch button is pushed).
2) Turn ignition switch ON.
Does "O / D OFF" lamp light for about 2 sec. and then
go OFF?

Check "O / D OFF" Lamp for Blinking Pattern.
1) Using service wire, connect A / T diag. switch
terminal of monitor connector No.2 to ground termi-
nal of monitor connector No.1. See Fig.
Is DTC indicated as shown in DTC table?

Does "O / D OFF" lamp come ON?
4
Does "O / D OFF" lamp come ON steadily?

EXAMPLE OF "O / D OFF" LAMP BLINKING PATTERN: SHIFT SOLENOID-A (No.1) ELECTRICAL (DTC No.21)
"O / D OFF" light turn ON

If two or more malfunction DTCs are stored, "O/D OFF" lamp indicates applicable DTC three times each from the
smallest DTC number in the increasing order and they are repeated.

Go to Step 2.
Write all malfunction
DTC down.
Go to Step 4.
Go to Table A-2.

NO
Go to Step 3.
Check diagnosis
switch terminal circuit
for open.
If wire and connec-
tions are OK, substi-
tute a known-good
TCM and recheck.
Go to Table A-1.
