ENGINE DIAGNOSTIC FLOW CHART (FOR G13/G16 ENGINE MODELS)

Check battery voltage.

Is it 10 – 14V?
Is engine cranked?

Check idle speed referring to "IDLE SPEED /IAC DUTY
INSPECTION" in Section 6E1.

Is it good condition?
Check ignition system (initial ignition timing and
ignition advance) referring to "IGNITION TIMING" in

Section 6F1.
Is it specified.
Check engine vacuum referring to "ENGINE
VACUUM CHECK" in Section 6A1.

Is it good condition?
Check fuel pump / pressure referring to "FUEL PUMP"
in Section 6E1.

Is it good condition?
Check ignition spark referring to "IGNITION SPARK
TEST" in Section 6F1.

Is it good condition?
Check fuel injector operation referring to "FUEL
INJECTOR" in Section 6E1.

Is it good condition?
Check engine compression referring to "COMPRES-
SION CHECK" in Section 6A1.
