2. Shoe hold down spring
1. Parking brake shoe lever
2. Parking brake cable
1. Retainer
2. Parking brake shoe lever
1. Shoe hold down pin
2. Shoe hold down spring

REMOVE AND INSTALL BRAKE SHOE

REMOVAL
1) Perform steps 1) to 6) of "REMOVAL" under "REMOVE AND
INSTALL BRAKE DRUM" in this section.
2) Remove shoe hold down springs by turning shoe hold down
pins.
3) Remove return springs, brake shoes and strut.
4) Disconnect parking brake shoe lever from parking brake cable.
5) Remove parking brake shoe lever from shoe rim.
INSTALLATION
1) Assemble parts as shown in reverse order of removal.
2) Install shoe hold down springs by pushing them down in place
and turning hold down pins.
3) For procedure hereafter, refer to steps 1) to 8) of "INSTALLA-
TION" under "REMOVE AND INSTALL BRAKE DRUM" in this
section.
