UNIT REPAIR OVERHAUL
DISMOUNTING OF TRANSMISSION
1) Take down engine with transmission referring to Section 6A1.
2) Remove transmission control cable bracket.
3) Remove starter motor.
4) Remove center bearing support mounting bolts and center
drive shaft.
5) Remove transmission stiffener
6) Remove bolts and nuts fastening engine and transmission.
7) Remove clutch housing lower plate.
8) Remove engine mounting LH No.1 bracket.
9) Check all around transmission for any other parts required to
be removed or disconnected for removal of transmission and
remove or disconnect whatever necessary.
10) Pull transmission out so as to disconnect input shaft from
clutch disc.
REMOUNTING
Reverse dismounting procedure. The important steps in installa-
tion are as follows.
D Use specified torque as given blow.
Tightening Torque
D Transmission to engine bolts
and nuts
D Transmission control cable
bracket bolts
D Transmission case lower stiff-
ener bolts and nut
D Transmission case right
stiffener bolts and nut
D Center bearing support bolts
D Remount engine with transmission according to procedure de-
scribed in Section 6A1.
