1. Power steering pump
2. High pressure hose
3. Throttle body
3) Detach power steering pump high pressure hose from power
steering pump. As fluid flows out of disconnected joint, have a
container under joint or plug the hose.
4) Remove throttle body. Refer to "THROTTLE BODY AND IN-
TAKE MANIFOLD" in Section 6A3.
5) Detach booster vacuum hose from booster.
6) Disconnect push rod clevis from brake pedal arm.
7) Remove attaching nuts and then remove booster.
WARNING:
Never disassemble booster assembly. If it is found
faulty, replace it with new assembly.

2. Push rod clevis
3. Brake pedal arm
4. Clevis pin
5. Cotter pin
6. Nut
[Other than 1.8L engine RH model]
1) Remove master cylinder assembly, referring to "MASTER CYL-
INDER REPAIR" in this section.
2) Disconnect vacuum hose from booster and remove EVAP can-
ister bracket.
3) Disconnect push rod clevis pin from brake pedal arm.
4) Remove attaching nuts and then booster.
CAUTION:
Never disassemble brake booster. Disassembly will
spoil its original function. If faulty condition is found,
replace it with new one.
INSTALLATION
NOTE:
D See NOTE at the beginning of this section.
D Check length of push rod clevis.
D Before installing master cylinder, check booster piston rod
by referring to "INSPECT/ADJUST CLEARANCE BETWEEN
BOOSTER PISTON ROD AND MASTER CYLINDER PIS-
TON" under "BRAKE BOOSTER INSPECTION AND AD-
JUSTMENT" in this section.
D Apply silicone grease to booster push rod seal and master
cylinder piston.
