7F-12 REAR DIFFERENTIAL
1. Front case
1. Bevel pinion
5. Front bearing
2. Rear bearing
6. Washer
3. Spacer
7. Front case
4. Differential carrier
7) Obtain adjusting shim thickness by using measured value by
dial gauge (which represents C in page 7F-10) in following
equation.
Necessary
shim thick-
ness (F)
80 in above equation is A + B of mounting dummy as shown
in page 7F-10.
8) Select adjusting shim closest to calculated value from among
following available sizes and put it in place and then press-fit
rear bearing.

9) Using special tool and plastic hammer, drive oil seal into differ-
ential carrier front case till it becomes flush with front case end.
Then apply grease to oil seal lip.

(E): 09913-85210
10) With new pinion spacer inserted as shown in left figure, install
front bearing to differential carrier.
NOTE:
Apply differential oil to front and rear bearings.
11) Install washer to bevel pinion.
12) After applying sealant to mating surface of front cover, install
it to differential carrier.
