3G-10 SUSPENSION CONTROL SYSTEM
START
Does "SPORT" light turn ON for
2 seconds when ignition switch
is turned ON and mode selector
switch is in AUTO mode?
YES
("SPORT" light turns OFF or flashes)
Ground diagnosis switch terminal
by using service wire and ob-
serve "SPORT" light.
FLASHES
Is diagnostic trouble code
No.12 indicated?
YES
Proceed to "TROUBLE
DIAGNOSIS" in this section.
Check and repair according
to flow chart corresponding
to that code No.
1. After repair, disconnect battery nega-
tive cable for longer than 10 sec. to
erase diagnosis trouble code stored
in suspension control module memory
and reconnect it.
2. Perform confirmation test.
3. Connect service wire to diagnosis switch terminal and ground terminal of diagnosis connectors
and observe "SPORT" light.
4. Is diagnostic trouble code No.12 only?
NO
YES
END

DIAGNOSTIC FLOW CHART

Faulty mode selector switch or
"V/W" wire shorted to ground.
If all above are OK, check sus-
pension control module and its
circuit referring to "SUSPEN-
SION CONTROL MODULE
AND ITS CIRCUIT CHECK" in
this section.
NOT
FLASH
1. Suspension control module coupler
2. Service wire
NO
Poor B9 connection.
If connections is OK, proceed
to "SUSPENSION CONTROL
MODULE POWER AND
GROUND CIRCUIT CHECK".
Poor "B4" connection of suspension control module coupler,
"G" wire open or poor grounding service wire.
If all above are OK, check suspension control module and
its circuit referring to "SUSPENSION CONTROL MODULE
AND ITS CIRCUIT CHECK" in this section.
"SPORT" light
doesn't
turn OFF
YES
"SPORT"
NO
light doesn't
turn ON
1. With ignition switch
turned OFF, discon-
nect suspension con-
trol module coupler.
2. Ground B9 terminal
by using service wire.
3. Does "SPORT" light
turn ON at ignition
switch ON?
NO
Bulb burned out "V/W"
wire circuit or "B/W"
wire circuit open.
