For automatic transmission control system, PCM has following
functions.
D When PCM detects a malfunction in A/T control system while
engine is running, it stores malfunction area (DTC) in its
memory.
D It is possible to communicate with PCM through data link con-
necter (DLC) by using SUZUKI scan tool (Tech-1).
(Diagnostic information can be checked and erased by using a
scan tool)
D It is also possible to check DTC stored in PCM memory by flash-
ing of malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnosis switch ter-
minal of monitor connector No.1, which is located in relay/fuse
box, grounded. If no malfunction DTC is stored in PCM memory,
DTC No.2 is outputted repeatedly. If two or more DTCs are
stored in PCM memory, they are outputted starting from smallest
