STRUT ASSEMBLY
INSPECTION
1) Remove absorber adjusting actuator.
2) Check to make sure that damping force is changed depending

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
For removal and installation procedure except absorber adjusting
actuator removal and installation, refer to Section 3D (front strut)
or 3E (rear strut) of Service Manual mentioned in Foreword of this
manual.
DISASSEMBLY AND ASSEMBLY
When disassembly loosen strut nut (about 1 turn) before removal
and when assembly tighten strut nut to specified torque after instal-
lation.
Strut nut tightening torque: 55 N·m (5.5 kg-m, 40.0 lb-ft)
NOTE:
If actuator bracket turns when tighten strut nut, be sure to
tighten strut nut to specified torque with holding actuator
bracket.
For other procedure, refer to Section 3D (front strut) or 3E (rear
strut) of Service Manual mentioned in Foreword of this manual.
TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
on absorber adjusting rod position.
If not, replace strut.
NOTE:
Turn absorber adjusting rod by using long nosed plier or
the like.
