INSTALLATION
Install drive shaft assembly by reversing removal procedure and
noting following points.
D Be sure to use new drive shaft center nut.
Tightening Torque
(a): 90 N·m (9.0 kg-m, 65.0 Ib-ft)
(b): 175 N·m (17.5 kg-m, 126.5 Ib-ft)
D Clean front wheel bearing oil seal and then apply grease.
Replace it if required.
"A": Grease 99000-25010
D Apply sealant to drain plug for rear differential gear case.
D Fill rear differential gear case with oil as specified, refer to SEC-
TION 7F.
CAUTION:
D Protect oil seals and boots from any damage, pre-
venting them form unnecessary contact while
installing drive shaft.
D Do not hit joint boot with hammer. Inserting joint
only by hands is allowed.
D Make sure that differential side joint is inserted fully
and its snap ring is seated as it was.
DISASSEMBLY
Refer to SECTION 4 "DISASSEMBLY (DRIVE SHAFT)".
INSPECTION
Refer to SECTION 4 "INSPECTION".
