DTC P0725/DTC NO.35 ENGINE SPEED INPUT CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION

WIRING DIAGRAM
TROUBLESHOOTING
STEP
1 Was "A / T DIAGNOSTIC FLOW TABLE" performed?
2 Check Engine Speed Signal Circuit for Open and Short.
1) Disconnect connectors from TCM and ECM
respectively with ignition switch OFF.
2) Check for proper connection to TCM at terminal
E25-15 and to ECM at terminal E92-11 (G16) or E92-2
(J18).
3) If OK, check engine speed signal circuit for resistance
and voltage under the following conditions.
D Resistance between E25-15 and E92-11 (G16) or
E92-2 (J18) terminals of disconnected connectors:
Continuity
D Resistance between E25-15 terminal of
disconnected connector and ground: Infinity
D Voltage between E25-15 terminal of disconnected
connector and ground with ignition switch ON:
About 0 V.
Are check results satisfactory?

2. ECM
3. To tachometer
4. Terminal arrangement of TCM coupler
(Viewed from harness side)
YES
Go to Step 2. Go to "A / T DIAG-
NOSTIC FLOW
TABLE".
Substitute a "Br" wire open or
known-good TCM short or tachometer
and recheck. malfunction if
equipped.
