3E-12 REAR SUSPENSION (2WD VEHICLE)

REMOVE AND INSTALL TRAILING ROD
REMOVAL
1) Hoist vehicle.
2) Detach parking brake cable clamp from trailing rod.
3) Remove trailing rod bolts and trailing rod.

INSTALLATION
1) Install trailing rod and tighten bolts by hand.
2) Attach parking brake cable clamp to trailing rod.
3) Install wheel and tighten wheel nuts to specified torque.
4) Lower hoist and bounce vehicle up and down to stabilize sus-
pension.
5) Tighten trailing rod bolts to specified torque with vehicle weight
on suspension.
Tightening Torque
(a): 90 N·m (9.0 kg-m, 65.0 lb-ft)
