UNIT REPAIR OVERHAUL
DISMOUNTING
1) Hoist vehicle and remove wheels.
2) Drain oil from rear differential. (Refer to "OIL CHANGE" in this
3) Remove parking brake cable from trailing rod.
4) If vehicle is equipped with ABS, remove wheel speed sensor
5) Remove No.1 and No.2 control rod outer bolt.
6) Remove trailing rod rear bolt.

7) Remove rear drive shafts from rear differential.
8) Place jack so that differential assembly will not tilt.
9) Remove 4 propeller shaft flange bolts from rear differential,
