You can add model text in a project view and in the Family Editor for families that can be represented in
3D, such as walls, doors, windows, and furniture. Model text is not available for families that can only be
represented as 2D, such as annotations, detail components, and profiles.
You can specify many properties for model text, including font, size, and material.
Model Text Shown Cut
Model text in a project view is shown cut in a plan view if it intersects the cut plane of the view. See

Model text saved with a family is cut in plan or RCP views if the family is shown cut. It is not shown cut if
the family is not cuttable. For more information on which families can be shown cut, see

Adding Model Text
1 Set the work plane where you want the text to appear.
2 Click Modelling menu
3 In the Edit Text dialog, enter the text, and click OK.
4 Place the cursor in the drawing area.
5 Move the cursor to the desired location, and click to place the model text.
