Loading Structural Families

1 On the File menu, click Load from Library
2 Navigate to the directory containing the file you wish to open or use the web-based library of
3 Select a structural family file.
4 In the Type column of the Type Catalog, select the family type or types to load. Select multiple
5 Click Open.
6 In the Type Selector, select the new family you just loaded and place it in the document window.

Loading in the Element Properties Dialog

You can load a family in the Element Properties dialog. See
creating a family type, open the dialog, and click Load.

Dragging from Windows Explorer

1 Select the family or families in Windows Explorer and drag them onto either a project view or
