Use the Reference Plane command to draw reference planes to use as a guideline in your design. Reference
planes are an integral part of family creation. See

Adding Reference Planes

1 Click Drafting menu
2 Place the cursor in the drawing area.
3 Draw the reference planes by dragging the cursor.
4 When you finish the plane (designated by a green, dashed line), click to end the line.
