To load braces from the Options Bar:
1 On the Structural tab of the Design Bar, click Brace.
2 On the Options Bar, click Load.

You can add braces in either a plan view or in a framing elevation view.
To add a brace in a framing elevation view:
1 Open a framing elevation view.
