Configuring Internal IP Telephony

Configuring Internal IP Telephony
Requirements:
– VoIP channels (COMpact 3000 VoIP or VoIP channels purchased and activated in the
Upgrade Center)
Configure the PBX as follows:
1. Create internal telephone numbers for the VoIP subscribers.
2. If required, change the automatically generated PINs and passwords (see chapter
Settings > Protection from Unauthorised Access > Configuring User PINs and
Passwords).
Note: The user passwords are needed to authenticate the VoIP telephones
when they are registered with the PBX.
3. Configure the VoIP equipment. To do this, you need the following information:
IP address or URL of the PBX
Internal number of the VoIP subscriber
User password of the VoIP subscriber
Note: You will find notes about how to configure different VoIP end devices
on the Internet (see www.auerswald.de/service).
4. Check whether the VoIP subscriber was successfully registered on the PBX
(overview for Status internal VoIP subscribers).
5. If necessary, enable DiffServ in order to increase VoIP call quality.
