Number Presentation

Number presentation enables the selection of the telephone number that is transmitted to the
person being called during an outgoing call (outgoing). At the same time, the telephone number
is selected that is transmitted back to the caller and displayed as the telephone number actually
reached during the call (incoming).
If no telephone number should be transmitted, number presentation can also be suppressed.

Configuring Number Presentation

If the default number presentation is enabled, the telephone number is transmitted over which
the subscriber on the connection in question is called. If the subscriber is not a member of the
call distribution on the connection, the first telephone number entered is transmitted.
If the default number presentation is disabled, the telephone number selected for the
subscriber on the connection is transmitted.
Note:
In case of several connections, the telephone number to be transmitted is
selected together with the connection which is to be used preferably for
outgoing external calls (preferred exchange line).
When the preferred exchange line is busy, the subscriber cannot initiate an
external call. In this case, it is possible to select an additional connection
(overflow). Via this connection the call is initiated and the selected fallback
telephone number is transmitted.
If number presentation suppression is enabled, the number presentation is always suppressed
for the caller (anonymous call). The number presentation required for billing purposes from the
local connection to the network provider is not suppressed in this case.
Note: For a connection on which a GSM gateway has been configured, the
valid number presentation is configured directly in the corresponding GSM
gateway. Therefore, the settings in the PBX for number presentation/number
presentation suppression are not taken into account.
