Remote Configuration and Alternative Connection Options
Release the PBX for Remote Configuration
4. Click Network and Sharing Center.
5. Click Set up a new connection or network.
6. Click Set up a dial-up connection and click Next.
7. Depending on the desired configuration to be made, proceed as described in the
following.
• For configuration via the internal S
internal CAPI dial-in access number on the PBX.
• For remote configuration via the external S
enter the remote switching number (including local area code and exchange line
access number) on the PBX.
8. Depending on the PIN available, proceed as described in the following.
• For an external PIN: Under User name, enter
enter the external PIN on the PBX.
• For an admin PIN: Under User name, enter
the admin PIN on the PBX.
• For a sub-admin PIN: Under User name, enter the internal telephone number of
a sub-admin, and under Password, enter the associated sub-admin PIN.
9. Under Connection name, enter any connection name, for example,
[customer name]
10. Click Close.
Release the PBX for Remote Configuration
Releasing can be carried out as follows:
• Using a character string on the internal telephone
1. Pick up the receiver.
2. Dial ##8.
3. Enter the user PIN or the sub-admin PIN.
4. Dial *91#.
