Configuring a Voice Mailbox
Voice Mailbox
The voice mailbox functions like an answering machine. Depending on the configuration, it
takes incoming calls and saves recorded messages as WAVE files on the USB memory stick
or on the SD card on the PBX.
Configuring a Voice Mailbox
Requirements:
– An SD card inserted in the SD card slot or a USB memory stick inserted in the USB port
1. Create a voice mailbox. When this is done, the voice mailbox is assigned a telephone
number and a name.
2. Enable the voice mailbox you created.
3. Select – if available – the announcement you want.
Note: Up to ten announcements can be saved from a PC into the PBX via an
internal telephone. In the factory setting, the default announcement is
available and is automatically played back.
4. Configure the maximum recording time per call and for the entire voice mailbox.
Note: A voice mailbox can store up to 100 messages.
Further steps:
– If desired, configure additional settings for signaling via RSS feed or e-mail as well as for
remote access.
Creating a Voice Mailbox
A maximum of six voice mailboxes can be created. The voice mailboxes are already installed
as a part of the factory settings (telephone numbers 701 to 706). You can change or delete
them.
