Soft Call

With the soft call function, a user can use the Web interface of the PBX to dial an external
telephone number from the telephone book, the call data list, an RSS feed or by entering his
own telephone number. To do this, the user must log into the Web interface with his user
password.

Dialling an External Telephone Number via the Portal Page

With the soft call function, a user can use the configuration manager of the PBX (portal page)
to dial an external telephone number directly.
Dialling can be carried out as follows:
• Via the configuration manager
Requirements:
– Soft call element configured on the portal page for the subscriber
– Short-code authorisation for business calls assigned to the subscriber
– An open configuration manager with an authorisation level of user
1. Open the portal page (click the PBX name).
2. Enter the desired telephone number in the entry field under Soft call.
3. Click next to the telephone number.
The telephone number is dialled by the associated internal telephone.
