Configuring Registration Time

The registration time indicates after how many minutes the PBX reregisters itself with the VoIP
provider.
Configuration can be carried out as follows:
• Separately for VoIP providers
• Via the configuration manager
Requirements:
– External VoIP channel (COMpact 3000 VoIP or VoIP channels purchased and activated in
the Upgrade Center)
– Configuration manager, opened with sufficient authorisation
– The registrar has to be enabled for the VoIP provider
1. Open the page CONFIGURATION > Voice over IP (VoIP) > VoIP provider.
2. Click
in the line of the corresponding VoIP provider.
The configuration page for the VoIP provider opens.
3. Enter a value in the Time lapse for the registration entry field under Server. The
following entries are possible:
1
to 60: The PBX registers with the VoIP provider after 1 to 60 minutes.
Note: In the test phase after configuring the VoIP provider, it is recommended
that a small value be entered (e.g., three minutes). After completing the test
phase, a significantly greater value can be selected.

Configuring NAT Traversal and the STUN Server

NAT (Network Address Translation) permits the mapping of a specific IP address used within
a network (e.g. a Local Area Network, LAN) to another IP address used by another network
