Creating VoIP Subscribers

The VoIP subscribers are on the end devices for which internal telephone numbers are
allocated and that are connected to the Ethernet port. The telephone numbers are used to
access the end devices via the PBX (internal IP telephony).
A total of up to eight VoIP subscribers can be created.
Note: The PBX provides the codecs G.722, G.711, G.726 and iLBC for
internal IP telephony. A Standard VoIP telephone must support at least one
of these codecs.
The creation can be carried out as follows:
• Via the configuration manager
Requirements:
– Internal VoIP channel (COMpact 3000 VoIP or VoIP channels purchased and enabled in the
Upgrade Center)
– Configuration manager, opened with sufficient authorisation
1. Open the page CONFIGURATION > Internal numbers > VoIP subscribers.
Note: The creation is also provided during the quick configuration using the
configuration wizard.
2. If necessary, change one of the internal telephone numbers displayed or enter a new
internal number in the From entry field under Telephone numbers. The following
entries are possible:
2 to 4 digits in the range of
Note:
Double allocation of a number is not possible.
The telephone numbers 70, 80, 87, 701-706, 801-806, 875-879 and 8750-
8799 cannot be freely allocated. They are required for internal PBX use.
Using telephone numbers with few digits (two or three-digit numbers) inevi-
tably restricts the possible supply of telephone numbers with more digits. For
example, if the telephone number 12 is assigned, the telephone numbers
120-129 and 1200-1299 are no longer available.
