Configuring the Registrar
Important: Each time a port is opened on the router, this creates a potential
source of danger. It is essential that you take additional protective measures.
Configuration can be carried out as follows:
• Separately for VoIP providers
• Via the configuration manager
Requirements:
– External VoIP channel (COMpact 3000 VoIP or VoIP channels purchased and activated in
the Upgrade Center)
– Configuration manager, opened with sufficient authorisation
– A configured DNS server and, if necessary, an HTTP proxy server
1. Open the page CONFIGURATION > Voice over IP (VoIP) > VoIP provider.
2. Click in the line of the corresponding VoIP provider.
The configuration page for the VoIP provider opens.
3. Select or clear the Registrar check box under Server.
Switches the registrar on.
Switches the registrar off. (No further action is required)
4. In the Registrar entry field under Server, enter the IP address or URL of the registrar.
You can make the following entries:
IP address with a range of 0 to 255 (example: 103.103.103.103)
URL (example: registrar.uk)
5. If required, enter the relevant port number (Port) after the IP adress/URL in the
Registrar entry field under Server (separated by a colon). You can make the
following entries:
1 to 65535
