Important Information
Product Details
To support the COMfortel 1200 and COMfortel 1400 system telephones, the
PBX needs a firmware version 4.0N and higher.
• COMfortel VoIP 2500 AB system telephones (as of firmware version 4.0B)
• COMfortel 1100/1500/2500/2500 AB system telephones (as of firmware version 4.0B)
• ISDN telephones
• Analogue telephones
By means of an activation in the Upgrade Center (for a fee), the PBX can be extended by two
VoIP channels for internal and/or external use. The COMpact 3000 VoIP has one VoIP channel
for external use and one VoIP channel for internal and/or external use by default.
When using the VoIP channels externally, the Ethernet port can be connected to the Internet
via a router. The PBX supports two different types of VoIP accounts:
• VoIP accounts with one or more VoIP phone numbers (similar to the point-to-multipoint
connection on ISDN)
• VoIP accounts with a DDI number block (similar to the PBX connection under ISDN), based
on the SIP-DDI feature (also known as SIP trunking)
When using the VoIP channels internally, the Ethernet port is suitable for connecting the
following end devices:
• COMfortel VoIP 2500 AB system telephone (recommended, as of firmware version 4.0B)
• Standard VoIP end device (SIP)
• Soft phone (SIP)
Important: Note that many standard VoIP end devices can only use the
functions of the PBX to a very limited extent.
USB Host 2.0
The USB host is suitable for connecting one of the following end devices:
• USB memory stick
• USB hard disk
• USB printer
Important:
The storage media used require an FAT16 or FAT32 formatting supporting
long file names.
The connection of a USB hub is not supported.
